Excited, the visitors gazed at the tiny newborn and exclaimed to each other, “See how perfect He is! This Babe will be our king one day!”

. . . Impressed, the Elders studied the bright young boy and thought, “He shows such promise! Perhaps The Almighty will do something special with Him some day!”

. . . Hopeful, the villagers watched the strong, wise young man and said, “He has such potential! He would make a good leader one day!”

. . . Eager, the crowd followed the righteous, compassionate man and declared, “He possesses such authority! Surely He will deliver us some day!”

. . . Stricken, His followers witnessed the death of their Hope, and wept, “Wasn’t He the Promised One? Wasn’t He going to free us? How will we live past this day?”

“With These Eyes” sets us squarely in the midst of the confused aftermath of the crucifixion, letting us glimpse personally the impact that Christ’s life, death, and resurrection had on those around Him. It invites us to look into the lives of people He loved. It encourages our own hearts to search for knowledge of the Truth. And it inspires us to seek life-changing intimacy with the Saviour.
